Tidewater Architects provided Schematic design services for Emerge Sport and Health to assist with funding for the project.

Emerge Sport and Heath is an environmentally friendly and energy efficient, state of the art, family focused, suburban athletic club that will include indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a 50 meter competition and training pool, an adult therapy pool and both indoor and outdoor recreational “play-pools” with water slides, fountains and water features. Additional facilities include a large gymnasium, comprehensive adult and group fitness studios, a climbing wall, courts for squash and racquetball, and an organic café.

The athletic facility has been designed to keep in context with the traditional New England style. The use of gabled roofs and dormers minimize the overall scale of the building. The traditional building materials of stone, clapboards and Standing Seam Metal roof were used in keeping with the traditional patterns found in Maine and New England.
